Happy Wednesday, all! I have a new kit to show you all today. My {not so} little boy started Kindergarten on Monday, and I put together a kit to scrap all of his school firsts. The colors in this kit are perfect for scrapping both boys and girls, and the kit is so versatile that it will work for all kinds of layouts, not just school ones. There are 31 papers, 77 Unique elements {Date and word labels also}, and a full alpha. Not all elements or papers are shown in the preview. Sweet Pea

Scraps by Andrea has a great new kit out today called Sweet Pea. It's so soft and beautiful. It was perfect to scrap pictures of my daughter but I also used it to scrap my brother in law with one of his daughters. Here's a look at Sweet Pea.

Here are my layouts. I made the first one during at Speed Scrap at Sugar Hill Co. It was hosted by A+ Designs and she provided a template for us and gave us steps to do along with the template. The last step was to make the template our own but we couldn't add anything. After the speed scrap I changed it even more. The second layout is for a challenge I'm hosting called Challenge of the Week. I did a scraplift challenge using 2 layouts.

Warm Winter Wishes

This year we here in Eastern Washington have had a ton of snow. Last year was practically bare. My husband has been in Afghanistan all season long and he is very homesick for snow. I send my sweetheart Warm Winter Wishes.

Here my layouts. Here is one with pictures of my Berti from last year. When we pulled out the Halloween boxes this year, she put on her ladybug costume and it fit perfectly. So we're using it again this year. You'll be able to tell the difference between this year and last year with her hair. Last year past her butt, this year just past her ears :)

This is my little guy's new costume (his costume from last year was WAY too small) and I couldn't help but try it on him early. How cute is he? I love it. And to prove this awesome kit is also pretty versatile, I did a non holiday themed page. I love it :)

Andrea (of Scraps by Andrea) is back in full swing! After having a new baby girl, I was eagerly anticipating her first kit back to be super girly and she has definitely exceeded my expectations with the cutest kit, inspired by her daughter's sleeper. It's called Happily Ever After:

Scraps by Andrea has done it again! She has a beautiful new kit out called "Color My World." This kit is full of rainbow colors and is a huge kit! I just loved scrapping with this kit. The preview only shows solid color papers but there are pattern papers in there too! You'll see several of them in my layouts. Here are my layouts. I made the first one for the word of the week challenge at Stuff to Scrap. The word was "flowers." I knew what pictures to use because we had visited the Chicago Botanic Gardens just a few days before and the flowers were in full bloom. Once I saw this kit, I knew it would work perfectly with my photos. The tulips worked so well with the yellows, reds and greens in this kit.

And here are two different layouts I made using this kit. The first one is primarily orange, since that's my favorite color. But for the second, I tried to steer clear of orange, since it's not everyone's favorite color.

Mr Fix It & Easter Fun {Catching Up}

Oh no! I have been a bad blogger! My husband deployed, and all sense of schedule or routine went out the window! Phew, ok here we go.
So, 1st up we have Andrea's kit, Mr Fix It. It has 23 papers, 67 elements, and an uppercase alpha. I love the alpha! I used this kit to scrap our soon to be new home. We are waiting for the sellers lender to approve the offer, this will be a short sale, so it could take months! I just had to scrap this though, we are first time home buyers and very excited!

Then the kit Andrea "threw" together. Isnt she awesome! I loved playing with "Easter Fun".
It has 10 patterned papers, 7 solid papers, 12 cardstock papers, and 102 elements!
This year we had some new friends to hang out with and do the Easter egg hunt with. It was a little weird not having Hubby home for it, but you learn to adjust.
This was the first time ever getting pictures with the big furry guy! The kids were so excited, and despite the FREEZING cold temperatures outside, they had a great time. They even got a "special" egg with a ticket inside for a free Easter basket! So they made out like bandits this year. :0)

Easter Fun

We just got back from visiting my brother in Nashville. I came back to find in my inbox a fun Easter kit that Scraps by Andrea just whipped up! I decided I would scrap the photos that we took while in Nashville celebrating Easter. My kids did not really care for hunting Easter eggs but I made them do it anyways just to get photos! What we do to get pictures, right? Here's my layout of them hunting Easter eggs.

I love this kit because it has traditional pastel Easter colors in it. Whenever I think of Easter, I think of light pink, blue, yellow, green and purple. I also love the fun little elements in this kit, especially the little chicks which unfortunately I wasn't able to work into this layout. Here's a preview of the kit which you can pick up HERE.

Well, hi there! I'm Paula, one of the newest members of the Scraps By Andrea CT, a passionate sewist, a homeschool mom, and a Navy wife. I've been digital scrapping for 2.5 years and sewing since I was 10 or so. I am self taught and I love to share what I've learned with others.

This is the first kit I've really been able to play with since I have been put in the CT. I really like the plaid papers in here. If you have a handy man in the house (or a handy woman) or if you just bought a fixer-upper, this is a kit for you! My sister in law could use this for a lot of pictures of her boys with their tool bench.

I didn't have any pictures like that, but I was able to find a few that went with this kit well. You can get this kit in the Scraps by Andrea Shop.

Did I mention I love spring? I think I did. It's true. I realized last night that this week I was supposed to be making Easter outfits for the kids. YIKES! How did I forget that?! I'll lbe up all night doing the dresses for the girls, but I did manage to do the boy's shirt last weekend (ahead of schedule! yeah!) with fabrics from Buttercuppity. Chicks and eggs and little sprouts. What could be more perfect for Easter?

Pheeeeeeeeeeeeeeew.........
What a crazy couple of weeks I have had. I am on the PTSO (PTA) for my sons school and we were organizing the annual carnival, wow that's A LOT of work!
It went off with out a hitch yesterday, and I feel like I can finally breathe again.
I was dreaming about worst case scenarios all week, don't you love how your brain does that?! LOL
And, I think my adrenaline rush yesterday postponed this AWFUL body ache, sore throat, and headache cold thingy I started getting last night before bed.

So needless to say I am in a fog.. trying to survive today.
I did manage to get some scrapping in this morning... and it made me feel a little better. :)

A Little Bit of Luck & A Freebie

Just a reminder that Andrea has a great kit she released last Friday called A Little Bit Of Luck, and it is one of my favorite kits ever. Yes it is great for your St. Patrick's Day photos, but it is so much more. The colors are green...duh, teal, cream and brown, and work well for both all types of layouts. As you can see from the linked preview below it is packed with lots of different elements and a great alpha.

Here are two layouts I've done with it, just a little something to show you the versatility of the kit.
